Memoir Recalling Abusive Childhood Leads to Productive Life.
Anna May’s mother abandoned 9 children unable to take any more abuse from her father. In turn her father took her older sister and sister one year younger than her and placed them with a friend. He then took her, 11 years old, and 6 of her siblings starting with the age of 9 months old and up to 5 years old and place them in an abandoned house with no one to help.
They could have perished, but for a good Sumaritan calling the authorities.
“There were NINE TEARS but we all survived,” said the author.
Left alone with an abusive father, Anna-May has many scars from broken bones, even a broken neck, but it didn’t deter her from raising her brothers and sisters, with the help of her oldest sister after returning to the city.
WE ALL LEAD TO LIVING PRODUCTIVE LIVES.
